Term 1.1

In term 1.1 we studied A Christmas Carol. I feel 8/10 confident in this topic. On my most recent piece of Christmas Carol work I got an S+. In August when we started the topic I had trouble finding key phrases and important words in the story but since my assessment I can now retrieve important words and phrases from the story. A strength was I made clear and accurate points about the story and a target was I needed to go into greater depth by zooming in on keywords and phrases from the story.

Term 1.2

In term 1.2 we are currently studying speech writing. I feel 8/10 confident in this topic. At the start of the new topic I’ve had difficulty with how I make my writing interesting. A strength of my speech was that it was informative. A target was that I needed to develop my ideas further.

In year 6 I got a badge for getting in the spelling bee finals.

In year 4 I got a certificate for remote learner of the week during Covid 19

Arabic

Term 1.1
In term 1.1 we learned about benefits of travel. I feel 8/10 confident in this subject. I didn’t get my term 1 grade for Arabic but I am currently working at the expected standards. In August I had trouble with the new vocabulary but since half term I’ve been able to say and pronounce them correctly. A strength was I can read Arabic and know the letters. A target was that I need to work on my spelling.

Term 1.2
In term 1.2 we learned about vacations. I feel 9/10 confident in this subject. Since the half term it was hard to write paragraphs but now I know how to write paragraphs. A strength is that I can write paragraphs with almost no errors(eg:spelling). A target was that I needed to work on the vocabulary.

Maths

Term 1.1
In term 1.1 we learned about significant figures, fractions, sets and algebra. I feel 10/10 confident in this topic. In My term 1 grade for math is 4. A strength is that I’m good at these topics. A target I have is to show my working out.

Term 1.2
In term 1.2 we learned about algebra, angles and circle theorems. I feel 8/10 confident in this topic. A strength is that I can calculate angles . A target is that I need to work on circle theorems.

History

Term 1.1

In term 1.1 we learned about WW1 and had a test on it. I am currently at an S. I feel 10/10 confident in history because I love history and it’s really fun. My strength in history is being able to retrieve information from things like texts, pictures, events etc.

Term 1
In term 1 we learned about natural disasters and the impacts it has on the rainforests. I feel 7/10 confident in this subject. I achieved a S+ for my term 1 grade. My strengths are being able to analyse the effects of natural disasters and my target is to add more details.

Science

Term 1

In term 1.1 we learned about atoms, the periodic table and electricity. I feel 9/10 confident in this topic because it’s not too hard. I achieved a 3 grade for term 1 in science. My strengths are calculating power. My targets are remembering the formulas.

Term 1.1

In term 1.1 we learnt about holidays and how to say what we did and we did it. I feel 10/10 confident in this subject. My term 1 grade was an S+. A strength I showed was that I added different types of the word(He,She). A target was that I didn’t add a negative(what I didn’t do).

Term 1.2

In term 1.2 we learnt about healthy lifestyle. I feel 9/10 confident in this topic. A strength I showed was that I knew the vocabulary and my target was to keep up with the pace of the listening audio.

Computer science

We are currently learning about 3D modelling. We start with a starter and then answer questions and then do an activity such as using TinkerCad to make 3D models of things such as a football stadium

Real world studies

In real world studies we are currently doing a project about an interest of ours and we mostly do quizzes as a starter. I’m 10/10 confident in this subject. For this term i didn’t get my grade yet.
