He told her not to ever open the box but because of her curiosity she opened it and she let loose evil, disease and suffering upon the world and all that was left in the box was hope which was a beautiful dragonfly. Which touched the wounds created by the evil creatures.

It is called "The Harpy" https://padlet.com/SECAnimation/ugj4zj1tzlde/wish/142490545 The sky was grey with not a ray on sun light blooming behind the clouds. A group of teenage campers headed out into the forest for the night, carrying bags of food such as cakes and savouries.  Some of the campers were uncomfortable of the dark atmosphere.

They found a clear spot in the forest and set up their tents. Finally, a spark of light bloomed as a camper started the camp fire. Little did they know, they grabbed the attention of an unknown group of creatures.
In the distance of the forest, a flock of birds flew out from the trees and stared at the fire. The wrath of cooking sausages filled their nostrals... wait.. birds don't have nostrals...? 
These creatures were not only birds, they were Harpys.

However, she was seduced by Poseidon, forgetting her vows and married.
A Happy ever after wasn’t meant for medusa, Athena turned her into a hideous gorgon like her sisters. Hair turning into snakes, eyes bloodshot with hatred with the power to turn others into stone.
Fleeing to Africa out of despair she hid from the world but during her escape baby snakes fell from her hair, which is the reason why africa is a hotbed for venomous snakes.
Her reign of terror was drawn to a close, when she was killed by demigod perseus.

They were given the role of creating the mainland of japan. Izanami died in child birth of the incarnation of fire Kagu-tsuchi. Izanagi went to Yomi (the underworld of japan) in hopes of bringing her back to the world above,  but she couldn’t return because she’s eaten the food of the underworld and is now part of the dead. Izanagi refused to leave her and whilst she was sleeping he lit a torch and had seen she had become a rotten maggot-filled corpse. He fearfully fled intending to abandon his wife, he blocked the entrance and she responded that she would kill 1000 a day if he left her. He furiously replied he would give life to 1500 a day.

If you do not, it will leap down from the rooftops and reap corpses from their graves; reanimating them as puppets, sending them to hell from their actions, or devouring them. Others say that the beast can be repelled by playing the myobachi, or placing a rock inside the coffin, among other methods.
