Security is also urgent because politicians use mosques, schools and the media to make Palestinians despise Jews. Israel took over East Jerusalem in 1967 along with the West Bank. This took place in the midst of a war with one another. Violence has been brought about when a Palestinian man was shot dead by a Jewish man defending himself from a knife attack. In 1929 there was an incident where Palestinians turned on the Jewish people near by and murdered 67 people. This event occurred 40 years prior to Israel even being established. According to the Palestinians the only way to resolve the violence is to have Israel pulled out of the areas that they are located in. 20 years ago Israel and Palestine signed a document called the Oslo Accord. The purpose of this was to bring peace and make a two-state solution.
