I feel that Lady macbeth is in the Self Actualization stage. She already had food, water, and all other physical needs, she already has security and safety, She has her Husband Macbeth, and she got away with murder and made her husband king so she feels accomplished. She is achieving her full potential by controlling Macbeth behind the scenes, which is shown by when she says “That I may pour my spirits in thine ear; And chastise with the valor of my tongue.” She says she is trying to make Macbeth king, but in reality she is just trying to fulfill her own potential as the wife of a king, and the most ruthless of the two.

I think Lady Macbeth is in the safety needs because she already has all the physiological needs such as water and food. She is also in the safety needs because she has security and safety. But she isn't in the belonging and love needs because she doesn't really have family or a partner that she really embraces or loves. She doesn't really like Macbeth because they don't always agree on things. In Act 2 scene 2 Lady Macbeth states, "Infirm of purpose... 'tis the eye of childhood that fears a painted devil" (Shakespeare 72). This quote shows how Lady Macbeth didn't reach the belonging and love stage yet because she calls Macbeth a coward and compare him to a child
