         <description><![CDATA[<p>it was refreshing to learn more about the current SEN landscape, given that i'm not from the mainstream setting. i enjoyed the sharing by the 2 SENO officers about their daily routine in school as it gave me a better idea of what to expect on thursday! lastly, i am better equipped with the knowledge, skills and strategies to teach students with dyslexia.</p>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<ol><li><p>I've learnt more indepth about specific learning needs (such as identifying executive functioning or working memory etc to work on a child with dyslexic). </p></li></ol><p><br/></p><ol start="2"><li><p>Have strategies based on a child's needs and not what they are supposed to achieve at their age. This resonates deeply because we may be too "rushed" to equip them with skills and content but if they are not ready yet, the process may frustrate them further. </p></li><li><p>So many programmes cater for learning needs (lrp? Lrm? Rrp?)  Cannot process. Need time to read more and i need to see how it unfolds (in person) to fully understand. </p></li></ol>]]></description>

Though we must be prudent and wise with the help we have, it is encouraging to know that there IS help.</p></li><li><p>SEN Officers are not alone. We will be guided by principles and interventions. A day in the life, is never gonna be the same as yesterday.</p></li><li><p>The tools available, are similar to that as when working with preschool pedagogical needs. Albeit differing in terms of needs, they can be transliterated for use in higher levels of learning and needs. </p></li></ol>]]></description>

I strongly believe that you need to have passion for it and that you need to want to help and advocate strongly for your students.</p><p>2) The team that I had at my desk seem to be having that heart for the students and it makes me feel a bit more assured that there are good senos joining the faculty</p><p>3) While I am dedicating a good amount of time to this job, I must remember to self care.
