(pg. 13) Pills would be a symbol of Mildred's ignorance to the world around her. She had no idea that too much sleeping pills consumed can be deadly. The quote connects to the theme and symbol because Mildred took thirty capsules in one day because she paid no attention and forgot that she took the pills already.   Faber gives Montag this earpiece, the green bullet, which he refers to as a way for him to communicate with him safe at home, comfortable.  He refers to him as the Queen Bee, sitting safe, while Montag is out risking his life. Faber promises contantly read to Guy.
