I have been a Windows user since its inception (yet, I am THAT old!) and have seen versions that were indeed better than others. I have always had Windows and continue to update with each new versions. 

I will mention though, that I do not use Cortana, nor do I plan to. Although I do find the concept clever, I don't feel the need to have a computer do tasks for me. Yet.
