Warm sea, blue sky and the shade of a tree, a perfect location to talk about being a global citizen. We are all one race as we are all human beings. Many people travel and as we do so, we take a part of us to new places and take with us a part of that countries identity. We have to change our thinking to understand the globalisation that is happening in the world. There are many different cultures in our community, it is really important to understand the similarities and differences so we can become good global citizens.

Great discussion about what it really means  to be a global citizen. It is important not to just say it but understand what that really means . I really liked the idea of The Global Village . Replicating the world as just 100 people . Something I think all adults and children could relate to . 
I love the idea of assessing children using the skills criteria - reflecting on how to support children as “learners” and not just assessing their final outcomes in an exam. The idea that as teachers we are facilitating children’s learning is the belief I was trained with but sadly this model has changed for us in the UK . We should be focusing more on the broader curriculum of where children fit in a global world .

I told you about a learned Mantra who came from Canada and is studying at our gymnasium. I was pleased that this was a great opportunity for students to get to know another country, its customs, and to improve English.

I was curious about the Finnish educational experience. I promise to apply the feedback in schools to my lessons.
