Now, years later, I’m reading it again with my daughter. Little Women reminds us of the importance of love and family, showing how the four March sisters find joy in a simple life. At this stage in my life, I also admire Mrs. March’s approach to motherhood—leading by example, balancing fun with responsibility, and always nurturing with love.

Martín Rivas is a classic Chilean novel written by Alberto Blest Gana, and it’s often considered one of the most important novels in Latin American literature. It follows the journey of a young man named Martín, who leaves his hometown and heads to the capital to study and improve his future. He’s smart, determined, and trying to find his place in a society divided by class and tradition.

The story is set in 19th-century Chile, and it paints a vivid picture of that time—how people lived, the values they held, and the challenges they faced. Along the way, Martín meets people from very different social backgrounds, and through these interactions, the novel explores themes like love, ambition, inequality, and personal growth.
