First of all you need to assemble the ingredients and get them all ready to start with. 
 You need washing soda which you can get at the super-market. Ascorbic acid can be found in shops like health food shops or baking shops. You can use potassium bromide. However, we used idolized table salt as it was cheaper and more effective and eco-friendly. The idolized salt reduces fogging within the film. 

 

You then make the two solutions for this process. For solution A mix 54g of washing soda with 300ml of water in a beaker.

For solution B you then mix 16g of asborbic acid. Then you 40g of coffee and 10g of salt with 700ml of water. After doing this will make up 1L of developer. However, 300ml-350ml would be enough to develop one roll of film. However, when we were doing this process we made up more developer for the whole class. 

 

After you have done solution A and B you then mix the two solutions together in a beaker and stir until the crystals have dissolved completely. 

 

Developing:

 

When developing you have to work in the dark room due to the film being sensitive to light. You will want to load the film onto a spiral and then place into the developing tank. Be careful, you don’t want to touch the film. You now, after you have done this step work in daylight. 

 

After you have done this step you will want to pour the solution into the tank and develop for 15 minutes. After the solution is in the tank you will want to agitate 3 times per minute.

 

When 15 minutes are up you need to wash the film with water to get rid of the coffee and then place the film into the fixer.

 

Place the film under running water to get rid of the fixer and then hang the film up to dry.
