The MOE's ICT policy is a step in the right direction. The program in particular is geared towards equipping teachers with the relevant skill and knowledge to implement such policies.
This being said, looks good on paper but to implement this policy in schools and the classroom is very difficult. With specific reference to the BYOD and Mobile devices policies , which will allow students to bring their own devices. The drawbacks to these policies are that the level of management such as monitoring security of students' devices and relevant apps and content students will bring on their devices are difficult and seemingly impossible to monitor.
Parental inclusion and permission is the key element to successful implementation  of such policies.Another drawback is there are many financially challenged students that cannot afford these devices ad puts them at a significant disadvantage.

I am a teacher at Princes Town West Secondary ,where I teach science to lower form amd chemistry to form fours and sixes.In my school there are two computer labs outfitted with laptops and projectors to be used by students.Accessibility can be a challenge . Students are allowed to bring their laptops, ipads and other devices that can be used in the class. This fits in with the BYOD Policy of the MOE. 
In my classroom for the higher forms the students use cellular/ mobile devices for taking pictures and videoing during lab sessions.This assists the ease of write up with labs. I also created a Watsapp chat where I can diseminate information to assist my teaching and also give students notes who miss classes.I also use Watsapp to do past papers and discuss other questions relevant to my subject area. This use of mobile devices fits in with the MOE policy of mobile devices. The use of these devices must be supervised by me with the warning that they cannot post any pictures without due permission of me or their classmates on any social media. This warning also fits in with the MOE policy.
