Teaching idea: The book is a rhyming book. First, going over what a rhyme means and examples of words that rhyme. Then while reading the book, stop on the second word and see if the students can come up with the rhyming word from context clues and looking at the pictures.

Teaching idea: The book contains facts on how the heart works including checklists, diagrams, and questions. I would first read the book aloud to students and then create visuals to go along with the questions and checklists in the book. For example, the book has a list of things that make the heart beat fast and things that don’t. I would have pictures of each and have the children sort it together as a class.
