This FoLTO course in particular, with Claire and Clare being such great facilitators, has reminded me of the importance of synchronous communication as well as the role of self-determination in motivation.
With this in mind, I have started a thread about the possibility of having an Online 'Lunchroom' for School of Counselling BOLT teachers: https://classes.navitas-professional.edu.au/mod/forum/discuss.php?d=50679
For online and blended students, I will start offering additional informal synchronous sessions, where students can determine topics they would like to cover, have Q&A time, and/or simply talk about where they are at.

I have tried wiki, which is available on Blackboard and also Google Doc. They are good in that we can see the contribution of students. The only downside to this trying to keep track of unit with over 200 student is very time consuming.
