The most IMPORTANT sentence in your entire essay, it also tells the reader why you are writing your essay, and it's an answer to a WRITING PROMPT/ question, it's called an ARGUMENTATIVE statement/ opinion.
Thesis has 4 parts: Argument + 3 reasons. It's also written twice in a 5 paragraph essay (last sentence in the intro and the first in the conclusion). You present 3 reasons with text evidence.

EXAMPLE: In my opinion, the best season is FALL, because of the following three reason: First and foremost, the weather in fall is perfect, it's not too cold, nor is it too hot, it's perfect for wearing both summer and winter clothes. Secondly, the feeling of the orange and red leaves falling down as the wind blows them away is so relaxing.
