Explain... en-us 2020-12-17 16:25:14 UTC 2020-12-17 18:06:33 UTC hello@padlet.com https://padlet.com/chrisse4/ufwmvwh7fx376oa2/wish/1028609196 I think shame is something that is common.  I believe cancel culture is really bad, and that's why our culture is the way it is.  News networks only display things that fit with their far right agenda, and people believe it because it seems true.  People have these ideas that are so radical (Raising taxes, allowing illegal people into the US, Defunding the police to stop hate crime, and a multitude of other things) and those people have the media and many politicians on their side.  Whenever you see a Conservative person talking about what they believe publicly, there is likely to be someone protesting that they are racist, a bigot, and an absolute hateful white supremacist simply because they are a conservative.  The things people say nowadays are disgusting and it really surprises me that America has experienced what it has.  Matter of fact, I feel like People get shamed for having beliefs that don't fit with the media and social media.

I'm not sure why some people shame others, It may be because of there own insecurities or something else entirely.  I don't think people being shamed for things that they have no control over is necessary. Shame is a human emotion. It's not very productive. Cancel culture and shame have similarities but are not the same thing. I myself have been shamed it was one of the worst experiences in my life and it took me awhile to move on from it.
