I'm also going to be a secondary English teacher, and I was struggling with that a bit as well. I think one of the most useful pieces of technology we've explored for an English class would be WebQuest. It could be a helpful and unique tool for delivering a multimedia/essay/any kind of project assignment, and you can post helpful video tutorials or links to information, all in one website.

Technology is a great tool, especially for secondary level classes. The students of this age group can be responsible with technology - giving you more of a lead way with them. WebQuests could be a great use of technology, along with having them create their own quizlets. When they do that, they are rewriting the information and are more likely to retain it than if they took notes once and was done with it. No matter which route you go, you'll do great!

This is a great question! We've learned so many great tools in this course that would work great for the secondary level! I think making a webquest could be the best bet! But I also think Podcasts could be helpful and fun for the students. EDModo could also be really good for those students because it is easy to navigate!

This course gave a lot of great example of sites to use for incorporating technology into classrooms. Some that would be great for an English class would be WebQuest, Edmodo, and Quizlet. Edmodo is really very useful in all subject areas and Quizlet will be great for them to make digital flashcards to learn vocabulary words. I know I definitely took advantage of that in AP English.
