         <description><![CDATA[<div>- Character education (pyramid of success), teach it, others model it, but may still be a disconnect <br>-equal enforcement/protection across the system or in the classroom. How do we protect how we measure character education across races for all students?<br><mark>-PROTECTION of potential vs. measuring of character--&gt;strengthening that</mark><br>-move past the affirmations, make it proactive, especially as a team&nbsp;<br>- teaching them that grit is not necessarily even; if you don't understand those other factors that may affect them, you have to understand the mental fatigue. Using a blanket statement/affirmation may not mean the same for everyone.&nbsp;<br>-one may work harder than other because of all the factors. Has to go beyond all those affirmations, because you don't always have the same outcome.&nbsp;</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Students are never too young to learn about history (a true, anti-racist history) to realize the importance of adding social change and justice to building character and positivity.  It's key that students learn what people of color have had to overcome up until this point in time.  It is not enough to do affirmations and have belief in oneself as children should be taught to question when things don't 'feel right'.  </div>]]></description>
