The Company is currently positioned between the two best of ist branch, it has highly qualified personnel who provide high quality processes and products. It’ s a Company that works twenty four hours a day, seven days a week, has a sustainability system in which projects such as: “mi Postobón desk” “social hit” “Postobón talents” and “my Postobón bike” that help the people and favored communities.

The Company is very keen on sports and the environment, which is why it sponsors many sports and athletes, it’s always looking for continuous improvements to mitigate environmental impacts caused in nature.

The Company has a fairly modern infrastructure, which complies with the rules and standards of quality, the processes are automated and always at the forefront of technology, Thanks to the mega plant that installed the company Celsia and of which the main company benefiting from this solar energy is Postobon, it can be said that the company has a point in favor that can be added, this because part of energy that uses comes from a solar source, which in my opinion is one of the most environmentally friendly within renewable energies.

 

The company has a Solid Waste Management Plan, which includes separation and reuse of waste. It has ecological stations throughout the plant. Because they work with a lot of glass, they have a place to store what is bad for later reuse. It also has qualified cleaning personnel.

Has its own PTAR which delivers water at fairly high purity levels 

They have a the water discharge  permit valid for 10 years.

The water that is consumed comes from 2 wells that are 350mts deep with emcali backing, but the company has all the permits  make use of this water.

 

The company is fed electrically in a percentage by photovoltaic solar energy from the photovoltaic plant that installed the company celsia

The company migrated to PCB-free transformers, this is a benefit for the environment.

The company has a sustainability report open to the public from its website  

The plant's employees are trained in the company's environmental management plan.

The company has an internal audit at a national level to ensure compliance with the baseline, with a map of processes, policies to be complied with by suppliers and ISO 9001-icontec certification.

Sanitary batteries have water-saving systems, which is a plus in terms of environmental care.

ISO22000 certification is being planned

In the tour made in the plant, lights are evidenced on desks where there are no people working, this causes unnecessary energy consumption producing a bad practice at environmental level.

The company is not certified under ISO 14001 of 2015

The study regarding the height that should have the chimney of the boilers is not current, therefore must be updated to ensure that even this within the size required by law.

There is an area of high personnel flow (corridor where the boiler and power plant are located) and high auditory contamination (Noise) where personnel pass without the necessary protections.

During the tour, there was evidence of work by the civil party, provided by a contractor who was carrying out the excavation work without safety boots (he had rubber boots) exposing his physical integrity and breaking the rules of the company.

The Activities and places Audited in our visit to the plant of the company, in general terms fulfill the system of environmental management, is a company that by its high consumption of water, energy and gas must be well coupled to its system of environmental management what makes that it fulfills many of the exigencies without any problem. However, findings are identified that prevent having the environmental management system in 100% compliance, so it is recommended to take action on the points of non-conformity so as to ensure continuous improvement of the company for the environmental management system.
