Most people do not realize they have Trichmoniasis until they are tested. Typically, if there are symptoms women are the only ones who have them. Vaginitis is the most common and it causes irritation to the vulva or vagina.

Long term effects

The long term effects in men are increased risk of prostate cancer. In women, the long term effects are increased risk of HIV, AIDS, and cervical cancer.
