Beliefs of  the inca civilization they believed that nature, man and the Pachamama (Mother Earth), lived in harmony and perpetual interrelation. The Inca state promoted the worship of a creator god (Wiracocha), the sun god (Inti), the Moon Goddess (Mamaquilla), the thunder god (Illapa), the earth monther (Pacha Mama), and a host of other supernaturals. The legacy of the inca civilization the Incas were not only great conquerors but achieved major advancements and developments in areas such as architecture, the building of roadways, and the construction of a system of terraces and irrigation canals to master farming.

80 AD - The Colosseum is built. One of the great examples of Roman engineering is finished. It can seat 50,000 spectators.
45 BC - Julius Caesar becomes the first dictator of Rome. Caesar makes his famous Crossing of the Rubicon and defeats Pompey in a civil war to become the supreme ruler of Rome. This signals the end of the Roman Republic.

The legacy of Ancient Rome is still felt today in western culture in areas such as government, law, language, architecture, engineering, and religion. Many modern-day governments are modeled after the Roman Republic.
