A Renaissance man is described as a person that loves learning, knows many things, and shows a wanting for improvement in the world. Leonardo da Vinci shows this quality by trying many different jobs, perfecting difficult skills in art, and creating inventions to make life easier. Da Vinci worked in many jobs in his life including an inventor, musician, and artist. He perfected all of these jobs, as shown by the inventions such as the flying machine he made or one of the pieces of art, The Mona Lisa. Art in the Renaissance was improved and da Vinci’s artwork showed all the qualities of great art like Linear perspective, Aerial perspective, Sfumato, and Chiaroscuro.  He kept practicing to perfect these hard aspects in art, but since he knew so much in art, he should be voted a Renaissance man.  As well as being a magnificent artist, da Vinci wanted to make life easier through his inventions. Some of his inventions he made are the flying machine, similar to today’s helicopter, a paddleboat, and even a digging machine. For the helicopter or flying machine,  da Vinci created an invention without the technology that we have today that is still used in present day. From the qualities of a Renaissance man Leonardo da Vinci expressed, he proves to be voted Renaissance man 2019.  

Leonardo Da Vinci was very smart all through his life. He was a smart kid when he was even in his early years. His strongest subject was science.  Some examples of this were in biology, botany, anatomy, geology, and optics. These were his strongest subjects, but he was smart in many others such as writing and reading.  

Da Vinci was a fabulous painter. He made some of the most famous paintings ever. He painted the Mona Lisa which is still to this day the most famous painting. He created many other well-known paintings, but the Mona Lisa was the most famous. He created many paintings in his days.  

Unlike most people in the renaissance time period, Leonardo Da Vinci had many jobs. He was a painter, who painted the Mona Lisa. As of an inventor, he made sketches of tanks, planes, submarines, helicopter, and machines that weren't actually produced until hundreds of years after he passed away. He was called one of the greatest thinkers and creators of all times. Those who knew him said he sang beautifully, and he was a fine musician. Contemporaries described him as kind, generous, and charming. 

Leonardo Da Vinci is a great Renaissance Man and he deserves the Renaissance Man award. He was very smart in many ways, he was a fabulous painter, and he had many jobs. Leonardo Da Vinci is a fantastic person and he deserves the Renaissance Man award.  

Many of Da Vinci’s inventions are forward thinking and were not invented until hundreds of years after his death. Some examples are parachutes, flying machines, and dredgers (machines that remove terrain from the bottom of rivers).  

Da Vinci’s artwork has been described on looker for centuries as unique and beautiful. His most famous piece is the Mona Lisa, which thousands of people crowd around every day, even though it is only a molecule of the size a mural is across form it. He also did many beautiful Fresco and sculptures. 

His other talents and hobbies include music, drawing the movement of water, anatomy of humans, city planning, studying plants, and cats. The number of things that he could do shows the true spirit of the Renaissance. That is that we can expand upon what we have and make our lives better. Also, that art is as important as anything else.  

From the evidence that I share with you, Leonardo Da Vinci undoubtedly warrants the title of Mr. Renaissance Man 2019. 

Leonardo Da Vinci should be Mr. Renaissance man because he was a great artist, scientist and architect, and had other many unique accomplishments. 

Da Vinci was very talented in many areas in arts. He was talented in music, art, and writer.  In music he created this instrument that was very similar to the lute and also created a unique drum and keyboard. In art he created the most famous painting in the word, The Mona Lisa. He also was assigned “painter of the duke.” In writing he had thousands of pages published in the 1880’s. Although he was very talented in the arts, he might have just been more talented in science and architecture. 

 Da Vinci was very gifted in science and architecture and invented many things that were way out of his time.  He had many inventions such as: the battleship, helicopter, an improved printing press, the parachute, a military tank, a bridge canal, and a digging machine. He actually used science and math in his paintings by using simple shapes such as circles and triangles to create balance in his pictures. 

Da Vinci also had some fascinating facts about him that made him even more worthy of this award. First, he wrote in mirror handwriting meaning he wrote backwards. He did this because he was left-handed, and he didn’t want his hand to smudge the ink. Also, one of his notebooks, the Codex Leicester, sold to Bill Gates for 30 million dollars. 

 Leonardo Da Vinci should be Mr. Renaissance man because he was a great artist, scientist and architect, and had other many unique accomplishments. This why I believe that Leonardo Da Vinci deserves the award of Mr. Renaissance man. 

Leonardo da Vinci, born April 15, 1452. Leonardo da Vinci was a true polymath. He studied science, anatomy, engineering, and art. He designed projects that wouldn’t even be thought of being a possibility hundreds of years in advance. He designed airplanes, submarines, and even better yet, he wrote there designs backwards. He did this so that no one would be able to steal his ideas unless they were smart enough to figure out the trick. He also, most famously, studied art. He created pieces like the Mona Lisa, and The Last Supper that are still awed at almost 600 years later. He also painted the Chapel of Magi, which was extremely difficult. Why? Because instead of painting on a canvas, he had to paint an entire building. Leonardo da Vinci should be the Renaissance man of 2019 because he didn’t just paint and sketch some machines. He studied the human body. He was the first artist to get the proportions in paintings of humans correct. He went to a lab to help dissect bodies and study them to investigate more about humans. This helped him to be able to know what proportions to use, and how to properly draw and paint human features. He also studied science and enjoyed music. He wasn’t just a one hobby kind of person. He liked all things, from simply music, engineering, and anatomy. Michaelangelo, Raphael, and other artist don’t stand a chance against Leonardo da Vinci. They were just sculptors and artist. They were not true polymaths. But Leonardo da Vinci? He was true Renaissance man.

Aren’t you impressed with Michael Jordan?  He’s a man who has conquered so many different areas of life.  He is one of the best of all of time NBA basketball players; he was a minor league baseball player for the Chicago White Sox; he owned and managed numerous successful sports teams, and he has created a clothing brand that has lasted decades. Leonardo da Vinci is also an astonishing man just like Michael Jordan. He changed people’s lives and should be voted as the Renaissance Man in 2019. Da Vinci has persisted for the title of being an amazing artist, being very skilled in science, and creating many inventions that shaped humanity. To begin with, Da Vinci has proven himself throughout his work that he is an amazing artist. His diverse art spread around so many places such as France, Krakow, Florence, London, and more. The famous paintings you might know, such as the Mona Lisa and The Last Supper were all hand made by Da Vinci. The skill level he has in painting is astonishing, and deserves a spot as Mr. Renaissance Man. Not only is Da Vinci a legend in art, he is also gifted in science. He dissected many humans to learn about the functions and abilities of the human body.  He also found many interesting facts about our health that helped prevent diseases. Lastly, he created many tools that changed the future. Some of his inventions include the dredger, military tank, parachute, battleship, mirror grinder, improved the printing press, paddle boat, helicopter, spring-driven car, and bridge canal. These inventions are still commonly used in our world today, even though he made them years and years ago. All in all, Da Vinci should have the title of Mr. Renaissance Man of 2019. Not only was he an artist, but he was also a scientist and inventor. As Michael Jordan said, “Some people want it to happen, some wish it would happen, others make it happen.” Da Vinci made his dreams happen, earning Mr. Renaissance Man of 2019.
