After knowing where Ah Bah kept his money, Ah Bah's mother told him, "don't go near the hen house often," telling him that his money will get taken away if he checks it again. After that, it was revealed that Ah Bah's mother who stole Ah Bah's money as she "hidden the handkerchief and the tin" away from Ah Bah.

Ah Bah's mother had pretended to be with Ah Bah's side for the whole story as Ah Bah's father was always putting up a bad front of himself constantly in the family, which gives Ah Bah's mother the opportunity to be someone that Ah Bah can trust. However, for the whole time, Ah Bah's mother was also trying to get to Ah Bah's money as well, and that she did it cunningly than Ah Bah's father did. Ah Bah's mother had lied to Ah Bah so that she could take away Ah Bah's money right under his nose and spend it for herself.

Thus this shows that Ah Bah's mother is a worser parent than Ah Bah's fater is as she put up a facade of what her true intentions are, lied to Ah Bah, stole his money, and doing all of this with Ah Bah's trust.
