         <description><![CDATA[<div><br></div><ul><li>Greater need/emphasis on Assessment being used to inform the learning then the teaching. </li><li>Greater emphasis on student involvement in assessment.</li><li>I really like the emphasis on feedback as a critical role in improving teaching and learning.</li><li>The development of assessment capabilities (teacher, student and learning community.</li><li>Backward and forward of design of assessment.</li><li>I really like the inclusion of indicators for designing assessment (pg .74), determining what to assess (pg 75).</li><li>Diagram AS03 pg 77 - placing the emphasis on monitoring and documenting will be a game changer for lots of teachers and schools.</li></ul>]]></description>

         <title>CHALLENGE</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div><br></div><div>Moving through from assessment being the end point and more how assessment informs the learning and teaching (that order?) I agree that this is going to be a paradigm shift for many. Especially when rewriting/reflecting on planners as the summative was such a crucial part of backward design for many.</div><div><br></div><div>Student input into assessment criteria, feedback/forward loop.</div><div><br></div><div>The building assessment capabilities in our educators, students and community.</div><div><br></div><div>Greater focus on Assessment for Learning, Assessment of Learning and Assessment as Learning. Most interesting will be the focus on Assessment as Learning for both students and teachers.</div><div><br></div><div>I think that timely feedback is so important but difficult for many teachers. I think some will have to make adjustments so that students are given feedback often.</div><div><br></div><div>Finding the best method for housing evidence of learning. Digital portfolio? Hardcopy? Combo of both? Other?</div><div><br><br></div><div> </div><div><br><br></div>]]></description>
