Blaze is scared of lots of stuff! For example he is afraid of Fire because on the Fourth of July he was in line to get on the ferries wheel and his ankles caught on fire. Ever since he has been afraid of FIRE. One day he was on the hill and saw the words "FIRE, FIRE. YOUR ON FIRE."

It said "REENA." and "FIRE FIRE, YOUR ON FIRE." Blaze realized that Joselle wrote the words of Stone on the hill

When Joselle first meets Blaze she tends to lie about....EVERYTHING. She tells Blaze that her dad died and that she just got to her grandmas and was only there for a short visit. Those are not the only things Joselle lies about in the story, because there are MANY more.

Claire is Blaze's dad's girlfriend. Claire really wants Blaze to like her and to think of her as his mom after his mom passed away. Claire gives Blaze paints and canvases so he can paint on his own, and she makes him a bronze fox for his Noah's Ark set.
