         <description><![CDATA[<div>Teaching methods<br><br>Comparing differences in cultural practices and contexts?<br><br>Same study (not a difficult one) within different countries, importance on a strict protocol so we can compare<br>Maybe a study where teachers implement our "learning package" in the different communities<br><br><br>- Student knowledge<br>- Teacher interpretations of tasks<br>- A need to decide on a set of tasks that interest both countries<br>(maybe comparisons of different equationsolving tasks)<br><br>Develop material together to be used in our teacher training programs to explore aspects of algebraic learning and to ease our individual workloads?<br><br></div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>1) using the comparison tasks from the Finnish FES and test these in three cultural contexts collecting data about how teachers use them, how teacher students experience them and how students solve them and what big ides they develop.&nbsp;<br>2) working with teacher education. Start with "traditional" algebra tasks we now don't see "big ideas" in and ask students to develop them so that they support the development of a big idea.</div>]]></description>
