Decide in which subjects you will implement the integrated curriculum (choose two or three subjects). For each subject, design a meaningful learning activity. For each activity: 1. Describe 1 or 2 learning outcome(s) (i.e., what students will know or be able to do after doing the activity) 2. Describe the main task and/or sub-task(s)

1) Music
*Sub-task:
The students are asked to think about and name a few songs that could relate to ponds or the animals they could see in the picture.
They could learn music in a more interesting way and that would have more motivation in learning when the material is what they had come up with instead of receiving it from the teacher passively.

*Main task:
Write a poem or lyric for a song. The teacher here is to provide them with a basic melody, so that the students could be aware of the amount of words they should contain in their work.
Students could understand more about the relationship between a melody and its lyrics. They could also learn how to make lyrics rhyme in a more relevant way.

Q1: How did you (students) design the lyrics to make them fit into the tempo of the melody provided by me (teacher)?
Q2: Tell the reason why you (students) design the lyrics to rhyme or not to.

Subject 1: Integration of Visual Arts education in English Studies

Two focus questions:
1. What is a pond and how does it look like?
2. What can be found in a pond?

Activity: Draw a pond on a A3 size paper and share their artworks with other classmates in front of the class.

Sub-tasks:
1. Teacher talks about "pond". (What is a pond?). Perhaps, shows a picture (optional). While talking about it, the teacher simultaneously asks small questions such as "what do you think can be found in there?"

From there, teacher can expand students' vocabulary about pond:
-water and land animals (ducks, gold fishes, frogs, tadpoles, snails)
-water plants (water lilies), grass
-stones, pebbles

2. After dedicating 10 minutes for pond creatures discussion, teacher asks the students to design their own ponds. "If your house/backyard had a pond, how would you like it to look like?". Students are then given the materials for their drawing and ask them to name their ponds.

3. Teacher asks the students to individually present their personal ponds and explain (with the new words they learned) what is in their pond and why they chose the particular title for it. Presentation will be assessed.

Materials:
Drawing papers
Postercolor
Brushes
Transparent coloured papers
Craft materials like glitter, ribbons...

Learning outcomes:
1. Students will be able to identify a pond and accurately articulate the vocab learnt about the pond.
2. Students will be able to make use of different materials to express themselves and enhance their creativity.
3. Students will know how to share their ideas with others through verbal communication and learn to appreciate others.
