Peanut Challenge

Our team quickly identified we wanted to create something unique to the peanut inspiration and not just anything random about a peanut. We looked at the hollow shape in the peanut and generated the idea of a peanut box.

We mostly used spoken words to communicate. However after the design was chosen we used drawings and sketches to communicate the design.

The biggest challenge we faced was for sure the creating of the prototype. After cutting out the shape we had to hollow the inside, which proved much harder than imagined.

We choose foam as materials which was a great choice. Cutting the rectangular foam piece into a peanut shape also went well.

We didn't really put a lot of effort into the picking of a single design. We had a quick discussion and then choose the most ridiculous design we can think of.

Theres was no selected nor definitive leader everyone just all worked towards the common goal.

Learning Conclusion & reflection #1

The learning in product design have been rather different than what I have imagined, however in an interesting and great way. The subject appeared as a super well designed course and makes me excited for the future learnings. Drawing lines and shapes wasnt exactly what I have imagines but is a great addition.

Something I would specifically like to work on would be "COM6: Clearly structure communication - select and effectively use a range of media to communicate my design ideas". In particular, this would be using professional and accurate langauge in written communications and more importantly, using stetching skills to accurately represent my ideas on paper and in models
