Just by looking at the picture, we can observe that the metatarsal of chickens are touching the ground while the allosaurus' are not. This is because the metatarsal of allosaurus is shorter than the chicken's. Based on the picture, chickens have opposable toes due to the way metatarsal of the back toe is twisted while developing phase in the egg. On the other hand, allosaurus did not have opposable toes. The opposable toe allows chicken to grasp and perch.
