Now they know where Lily is and she isn´t safe because todd is with her. Griff and Wick run to the house and Todd is right in front of them .

he author used the phrase fancy chandelier so we can learn how Esperanza's great-grandfather views her great-grandmother. We learn that he loved her and really wanted to marry her. He values her and sees her as a delicate, elegant, desirable woman. The message would have been significantly different if the author said, “As if she were a sack of potatoes.”
