Being able to look around and see my studetns helps me understand who is engaged, who seems confused but hasn't asked for help, who's off task. I think it took them a little while to discover what they like and dislike. I recently learned that a few things we might be doing are tough on students. These are:

-Don't post assignments late or on weekends. As teachers, we can schedule posts, so moving forward, I'll schedule my lessons so that even if I post than at 4PM, they won't show up until the next morning at 8. This way, those of you with notifications aren't just constantly getting overwhelmed with new work.

-Earlier office hours so you can be done with work and enjoy the rest of your day. OR AM & PM options

These were the two big ones. I didn't realize that some hard workers would be stressed seeing a lesson go up at 2 when they though they were done-- even if the due date was four days later. So I schedule all my posts to go up at 8 AM of the following day.
