Mike you mentioned that we will never be going back but I know of a near SD who just changed back this year from SBIG to Percentages. And I can see that that is a never. I do feel the work we have done will work in either system though.

Does the rubric need to look the same as what the district is giving us? That doesn't seem student friendly at the MS level. Can't it just meet the criteria but look different?

I only feel and believe that our 4.4 & 4.3 fall into the Success Skill. 4.1, 4.2 & 4.5 do not in my opinion.

I would be curious if we could implement standard 5 using exit tickets or creating some project based assessments in PE. I think this is a very important standard to keep students engaged in PA throughout their entire lives and not just to get a passing grade in school. Standard 5 is all about enjoyment, challenge, self expression, and social interaction. I did a project last year and my 6th graders loved it. We can also include a motor skill in the project.

Curious why success skills becomes the same in all classes, when it is a standard for our subject area. I do not completely disagree, but I do feel like it is disregarding the work people have done before us in stating that it is a standard for our subject area (not simply a success skill).
