Today is the day of every woman, every boy and every girl who have raised their voice for their rights to achieve their goal of peace, education and equality.

I am just one of them.
I speak not for myself, but so those without a voice can be heard. Those who have fought for their rights. Their right to live in peace. Their right to be treated with dignity. Their right to equality of opportunity. Their right to be educated.
They thought that the bullets would silence us, but they failed.

Malala Yousafzai was born on July 12, 1997, in Mingora, Pakistan. Her hometown was a popular tourist place for its summer festivals. However, the area began to change when the Taliban tried to take control of it. As a child, she became an advocate for girls' education, and so the Taliban wanted to kill her. On October 9, 2012, a gunman shot Malala when she was traveling home from school. She survived, and has continued to speak out on the importance of education. She was nominated for a Nobel Peace Prize in 2013. In 2014, she was nominated again and won, becoming the youngest person to receive the Nobel Peace Prize.

The Norweigan Nobel Commitee has decided that the Nobel Peace Prize for 2014 is to be awarder to Kailash Satyarthi and Malala Yousafzay for their struggler against the suppression of children and young people and for the right of all children to educations. Children must go to school and not be financially exploited. In the poor countries of the world, 60% of the present population is under 25 years of age. It is prepequiste for peaceful global development that the rights of children and young people be respected. In conflict-ridden areds in particular, the violent of children leads to the continuation of violence from gestation to generation.

In the days immediately following the
attack, she remained unconscious and in critical condition, butlater her condition
improved enough. She was sent to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Birmingham, England, for intensive rehabilitation. The murder became famuos all over the world.
