This week's presentation was an eye opener for what goes on during the reporting stage in a research process.I am now able to relate to how researchers edit, clean and code the data collected before presenting it to the company. In addition, I believe I am now able to create a data dictionary and adequately use the resources to do so.In the past when I heard of companies conducting surveys I did not think that it contained this much work.I thought questionnaires were drawn up,data collected and reports analysed to make decisions. However, I now understand there is much work to be done even after the data is collected and before the findings are handed over to the company or individual who authorized the research. This information is very enlightening and useful for the future. My highlight for the week was actually creating my bar chart.I enjoyed watching the video which guided me .It was simple and straightforward.I however encountered some difficulty in posting it to the learning exchange.Overall it was a good experience and I enjoyed replying to my colleagues work as well.I anticipate incorporating what I have learnt in my research report which is due soon.
