"just-right books"

This book was relatively "easy," but it helped us gain confidence. It may have been an easy read, but that allowed us to connect with the reading on a deeper level and analyze in ways that may have been missed if we were assigning it in a classroom. Liz also connected this to her experience in her SBTE classroom, by relating to making sure we are assigning a book that we know all of our students will be able to read and comprehend, while still being able to push the lower kids to accelerate their reading levels and also focus on students who are on/above grade level by enhancing their comprehension and writing skills.
