Description: This Folklore infused piece is about A Soucouyant who tries to get rid of her demon flame roots by trying to adapt to the everyday regular human lifestyle.

She is also a neighbour That lives next to two young boys that go by the name of Bashar and Frosty who lives with their mother, Jackie and their aunty, Paula.

It’s Thursday 15th 2020 and Aunty Paula is going to make rice and beans with stewed chicken but she has everything to complete her meal but the rice so her only choice is to send her nephews to the shop to buy a bag of rice.

Aunty Paula:(In a descending tone): Alright time to co…., O gosh I can't believe I forget to buy that rice Tuesday that really slip my mind yes. (Aunty Paula shouts) Frosty!!!!.

Frosty: O shit man whole day she does be calling me boy o gosh, I don't know why mommy don't put she out innuh she feel she is this big thing just cause she does cook when mommy go to work (steups)........ Yes aunty.

Aunty Paula: You and your brother go and buy a bag of rice for me please, look it have thirty dollars on the table and two masks on the table because you know I dont play with that corona thing.

Frosty: But aunty me and muh brother not even hungry, we….

Aunty Paula:(Loudly Shouts) Boy Boy !! so what happen I is no nobody?

Frosty: (sighs) No aunty I didn't me…. Yuh know what, we will go and buy it for yuh aunty.Bashar!!!.

Bashar: Yeah king what is the word?

Frosty: Aunty want we to go and buy a bag of rice for she to cook.

Bashar: HAHAHA well look thing, well bro you can't be serious, you make me hang up a call with this sweet bird here to call me to tell me bout what?, a bag of rice boy just go and buy the ting for the woman because I not even hungry.

Frosty: (laughs Sarcastically) HAHAHAH not funny. Anyways I gone.

Bashar: Yeah bro word.

( HALFWAY ON JOSEPH’S WALK TO THE SHOP HE REALISES HE HAS THE MONEY BUT NOT THE MASK )

Frosty: O shucks the mask (steups), I studying my chupid brother and he shit and I forget the mask o gosh and watch thing now i done reach so far I not goin back to get no mask (steups) I don't really care about no corona.

(FROSTY ENTERS THE SHOP)

Security:Youth man where your mask like you don't know what going on in the world?

Frosty: Boy who shoulder you feel you touching and further more I don't have to tell you nothing again brother man I have to have on no mask because I don't have to give you the money (steups) where the cashier is anyways.

Security Guard: Young man he not going to let you buy anything if you don't have on a mask because it have a virus going around.

Frosty:(shouting loudly) BAI YOU FEEL I CARE BOUT ANY……..wait what you reaching for your batour for sir?

Security Guard:(Agresively) LOOK LOOK, just come out this shop before I get vex with you and have the cause to deal with you here now.

Frosty:(LAUGHS EVIL) You feel u going and lash me hahaha alright bro say less and tell your boss to close up this shop one time tell him is for he own good.

(Frosty runs home and storms into his Bashar’s room)

Bashar:(Talking on the phone)HAHAHA girl you know you is the only girl I in love wi….

Just now I will call you back.What happen to you bro? How you come home breathing heavy so?

Frosty:Big man by the shop pull out d stick for me bro just cause I forget my mask.

Bashar: Who is that boy? How he does look? What is he name?

Frosty: Some security guard by the shop he does look bulky and he is bout your height I dont know his name.

Bashar: Wait and he a little cross eyed?

Frosty: Yeah Yeah Yeah he self.

Bashar: You Sure?

Frosty:Boy it look like i joking (speaks with an aggressive tone) so you feel I will run home and call you first I didn't even buy the rice for aunty and you feel I will lie bro?

Bashar:(Calmly says) Alright I believe you I believe you but hear this hear this go by the gate and I will meet yuh there in 10 minutes.

Frosty: Wait Bashar what you going and do bro.

Bashar: (shouts) Just go by the gate and wait if I say I coming by the gate I coming by the gate.

Frosty: Alright say no more I going down now.

Bashar: Nice

Aunty Paula:(Shouting) Frosty way my rice boy and way you going again?

Frosty: I going by the shop now Bashar said to meet him there in 10 minutes.

Aunty Paula: Ok son just hurry up and get my rice for me please.

Frosty: Yes aunty don't worry.

10 minutes later Bashar and Frosty meets up at the shop and starting talking.

Bashar:(Wisperring) Way the man boy?

Frosty: Let we walk in I will show you.

(Walks in shop)

Frosty: Look he over there in the all black clothes.

Bashar:(walks up to the security) Sir can i speak to you outside?

Security:(confused) What's the matter sir?

Both men walked outside

Bashar:(shouting) Joseph come here

Frosty: Yes what you want?

Bashar: This is him?

Frosty: Yes

Bashar:(Grabs the security shirt agressively) So u want to lash this youth man here let me here you now

While that is happening a taxi man pulled up in the car park with a man in the car to get something in the shop.

Franky:Alright sir i will wait on you go and get what u have to get fast.

Franky looks over to 3 men in the car park and realise that 2 men are harassing a man.

Frosty: King man what is that in your pants?

Bashar: Take it out and show him let him know what is the settings up here

(Frosty pulls out the item witch is a gun)

Frosty:(scared)Brother man way you get this?

Bashar: I will explain later ok

Taxi driver Franky watched and saw the gun.

Franky:(talking to himself) That is a gun i seeing over there? Let me call the police quick.

Dials the police quick and gave them the adress etc etc

Officer arives quickly because they were very close to the shop and saw Joseph and Bashar with the gun.

Oficcers pulled up and jumped put quickly.

Officer Allexander:(loud) Put down the weapon or i will shoot.

Frosty didn't listen to comands from officer.

Officer Allexander: This is your last warning put down the weapon.

Frosty still didn't listen and them the police started shpoting at them.

Gun firing(bow bow)

Bashar ran and got away but Frosty got shot multiple times.

Officer Allexander: Kurn move the weapon away from the body and check his pulse

Officer Kurn:(softly) He's dead.

Officer Allexander: ok check for any ID or drivers permit

Officer Kurn:Got an ID

Officer Allexander: Let's go to his adress while the rest of police remains here.

Drives to Frosty location on ID.

Pops horn in front of house and Aunty Paula comes out.

Aunty Paula:(Talking to herself) Whg police in front my gate? Yes yes good day officers how can i help you?

Officer Allexander:Can we go inside and talk?

Aunty Paula:Sure

Walks inside and sat in the living room

Officer Allexander:We have some bad news for you mam.

Aunty Paula:What is it??

Officer Kurn:(sadly) We just shot your nephew frosty.

Aunty Paula:(crying loudly) What he do to be shot? You have to call his mother Jackie now

Officers calls Jackie and tell her to come.

Jackie arives 5 minutes after.

Jackie:What happen why Paula crying?

Aunty Paula:(crying)Fro Frosty dead.

Jackie fainted as soon as she heard the news

5 minutes after she woke up and was concious

Jackie:Officers what did he do?

(They explained everything)

Jackie:(shouting) The police in this country to wicked yes to wicked why u didn't aim for a foot a arm why why.

Officer Allexander:Mam the weapon im his hand was a treat to us.

Jackie: Weapon what weapon he have?

Officers: A firearm

Aunty Paula:Wait wait everyone hold up where Bashar?

Officer Kurn:He ran away when we started shooting.

Aunty Paula:So he is alive and safe?

Officer Kurn:He will be safe but he will be wanted by the police for posession of firearm.

(Few days later the police found and arrested Bashar and he was sentenced for 15 years)
