Native Americans started in late November 1969-June 1971, they happened to be one of the poorest civilians in the U.S. They were the most violent when it came to fighting for their rights. Reasoning for fighting for their rights was due to the fact that the government would commonly break the treaties that they had with the NA. Another thing was that they were to take over the Alcatraz and when the daughter of the head chief was killed, they decided to retaliate. In result to this, they wanted to be respected for their people and culture. However, in order to achieve this they seized the town of Wounded knee, SD, took hostages and had shootouts with authorities.

As part of the Bracero Program during the 40's, 50's, and 60's, Hispanic Americans were faced with prejudice/ discrimination when it came to finding jobs and looking to buy houses. There was fifty percent of Hispanics that were unemployed and so many tried to escape this. A man named Cesar Chavez had helped by creating an organization in 1962. It was called the National Farm Workers Association, changed the UFWOC in 1966. This was forced upon fruit and veggie companies to accept unions a way of bargaining agents to find work. However in 1965 California' s grape growers didn't go by this till 1970, this made Chavez come to the decision to boycott nationwide. Also during in 1970, the La Raza was established which included campaigning for Hispanic Rights and opportunities.

During the African American Civil Rights Act, a 26 year old man named Martin Luther King Jr. was chosen to help desegregate and create equal rights. They were highly motivated to do this when the WWII just ended and they thought if they could fight for a country that wasn't even their's then they should be having equal rights in voting, being served, having an equal education, etc. It first started out when four kids went to sit at a counter and waited to be served and they were being harassed by getting things thrown at them, getting beaten up This took a lot of public embarrassment, brutality and non-violent actions, along with sometimes others being murdered just to get equal rights as white men and women. They wanted to get rid of Jim crow laws that was able to separate colored from whites in any type of public usage. For instance, schools, water fountains, bathrooms, libraries and get rid of poll taxes.
