         <description><![CDATA[<div>Status Quo&nbsp;<br>We think that the 1953 one was focused on how the people were recovering after the war while the 2005 one was more on the apocalypse style scenario.<br><br><br>The zeitgeist of the 1950s could be considered as the act of preserving, guarding or protecting. they are recovering from the war . there is a feeling of fear and uncertainty.<br><br>2005:&nbsp; the zeitgeist is basically a form to entertain the people of that time. it is more of a worse case scenario&nbsp;</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Zeitgeist:<br>1953 ver focuses more on the military and its futile strategy in fending off the Invaders. It was very one dimensional. There was some aspects in the film that talked about religious beliefs and elements of propaganda as well.<br><br>2005 ver is more family focused and the narrative is more humanised. Pulls at the heartstrings of audiences and adds an individual focus.<br><br>Status Quo:<br><br></div>]]></description>

Zeitgeist<br>1953 was a more of a war as compared to 2005 being a movie closer to an apocalypse.<br>1953 also focused more on the survival of the whole of humanity as one entity while the 2005 film follows the story of a family trying to survive.<br>In 1953, most of the people ran away while 2005 more people fought back.<br><br>2.          <description><![CDATA[<div>Zeitgeist:&nbsp;For the older film,  it was more of a depiction of the state of affairs in post-war USA- there was a lot of emphasis on the military; whereas for the newer film, the director was clearly angling a focus towards the protagonist's family.<br><br>Status Quo: both films reinforced their respective status quo. </div>]]></description>
