         <description><![CDATA[<p>My biggest takeaway is that burnout, compassion fatigue, and secondary trauma are typical in professionals that help others. Due to the high amount of work that is involved, the struggle with becoming empathetic of others, and the difficult aspect of balancing between home and work, counselors are likely to be affected.</p>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>To practice self-care, I will read books (for leisure and the Bible), spend time doing creative things, and enjoy more time outside! I enjoy reading books and have a goal to read twelve books by the end of 2025. This is a great mental break for me and helps me to pause and slow down. I have also been working on my spiritual journey and have found this is beneficial for my well being in all areas. I enjoy crafting in many forms, but I do not make it a priority enough. I always feel a sense of relief when I am working on projects, so I would like to do at least one creative thing each month. Sunset and sunrise are my favorite parts of the day, and I do not enjoy them nearly enough! I want to make it a priority to sit outside and soak up my surroundings a few times a month. This is a calming experience for me and helps me to clear my head!</p>]]></description>
