Blessed by service round the cross, reflecting on Jesus, the sacrificial lamb of God. 
Katanning has a large multicultural population with over 45 nationalities present in local community. The Lions  Park has 20 flag poles with flags of these nationalities displayed (and rotated regularly) to represent the multicultural flavour of the town. We spent a couple of hours in the park (with a group of Islander men sharing in bbq as the backdrop) praying for this community, the people who live here, and connections with local believers and faith communities. 
As we prayed we reflected on the commission Jesus left the disciples with at his ascension, recorded in Acts 1: “The Holy Spirit will come on you with power and you will be my witness in Jerusalem, Judaea, Samaria and to the ends of the earth.” It seemed to us that God had brought all these people from the nations to this community (a bit like Passover in Jerusalem) and there was a harvest field here that could spread out .. to the ends of the earth through these people’s relational networks, not just here in Katanning, but back into their homelands. We prayed that commission of Jesus for the believers here in Katanning, that the Holy Spirit would come on them and they would be his witness the the peoples of the world on their doorstep, that God would raise up disciple-makers who would make disciples who would make disciples ... that this town would have eternal significance in seeing God’s kingdom come here and to the ends of the earth!
Another scripture God brought to mind was Revelation 7: where every nation, tribe, people and language is gathered at the throne and worshipping with heavenly host. The end result of God’s kingdom come. We prayed that Katanning would be the Jerusalem, the place where the disciples received the Holy Spirit and were sent out from, to the ends of the earth ... and the new Jerusalem where all the nations gathered would worship God and risen Jesus together.

Prayed in this area where there are many afghan shops and hazara people. I prayed that many hazaras here will come to know God as "Abba father", that they will receive his love and that they will be transformed by the gospel.
I met and talked with an Afghan lady at "Abbas market". 

So you have not received a spirit that makes you fearful slaves. Instead, you received God’s Spirit when he adopted you as his own children. Now we call him, “Abba, Father.”  For his Spirit joins with our spirit to affirm that we are God’s children. And since we are his children, we are his heirs. In fact, together with Christ we are heirs of God’s glory. But if we are to share his glory, we must also share his suffering.
