Jamestown settled in 1607.

The regions of the 13 colonies were New England, Middle, and Southern

The New England colonies consisted of the states Connecticut, Rhode Island, Massachusetts, New Hampshire. The New England colonies had very little farming, because of their poor soil. This severely limited the amount of slaves they had in their colony. The land was also very cold most of the time which made farming even more difficult. Their system of government was a direct democracy. A lot of their jobs revolved around lumber, fishing, and ship building. They were also very religious and were not tolerant of other belief systems.

The Middle colonies consisted of the states Delaware, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, New York. The Middle colonies had more opportunity to farm than the New England Colonies. They had mild climate and their soil was fertile enough. They had a limited amount of slavery, but still had more than New England. There was a lot of diversity in this colony because of the opportunities. They were very tolerant when it came to religion, as well. They were democratic and elected officials.

The Southern Colonies consisted of Maryland, Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Georgia. The Southern colonies had very fertile soil which was great for farming. The weather also had hot summers which meant a long growing season. Unfortunately, because they had so much land to farm, they had a large number of slaves. There was a large gap between poor and rich people in these colonies. They elected their lawmaking and had a tolerance for other religions.

The cause of the French and Indian War was the control of trade and land in the early Americas. The differences between the French and British were very prominent which lead to even more of a dispute between the two countries.

The people who were involved with the French and Indian War were the Native Americans, the French (who were allies), and the British.

The end result of the French and Indian War was the win of the British. This meant that the British had obtained all of the French lands and all trade routes. This also created a lot of debt for both of the countries, though.

The significance of the French and Indian War was that this significantly impacted British and the colonies’ relationship.

With almost no supplies and bathrooms near their housing, sickness spread quickly. Typhus, smallpox, influenza, and starvation were the most common disease there.

This camp was a great example of strong will and survival for the independence movement.

In the early stages of the camp, it suffered from poor recruitment, uneven training, and lack of discipline.
