Use ibuprofe to reduce fever and throat pain. Gargle with warm salt water, drink plenty of fluids, and eat soft foods. Get lots of rest and stay home for at least 24 hours after starting antibiotics. Symptoms should improve within 1-2 days.

6: Bresni

This inflammation leads to sudden high fever, severe headache, stiff neck, confusion, and increased brain pressure that can cause seizures, brain damage, hearing loss, or death if untreated.

5: Immediate hospitalization not outpatient care. Emergency physician evaluation within hours, not days. IV antibiotics started immediately ceftriaxone or cefotaxime. Intensive monitoring in a hospital setting. Specialist care from infectious disease doctors. Due to how dangerous this disease is because it attacks the brain i came up with this strict treatment plan.

I predicted Alvin's diagnosis to be Wanda's illness because they had met outside of the infirmary and she had gave him a cup of coffee, so in my prediction Alvin had Infectious Mononucleosis.

And the treatment plan i recommend for Alvin is focusing on symptom relief, rest, hydration, and avoidance of complications; specific antiviral therapy is generally not indicated.

Sue

This test determines what antigens are in Sue's body to diagnose her and to hopefully create a treatment plan.

Neisseria meningitidis is a bacterium that can cause serious infections, including meningitis and sepsis. It is commonly found in the human upper respiratory tract and can lead to severe illness if it invades the body. The bacterium is transmitted through respiratory droplets and can cause symptoms such as fever, headache, and a stiff neck.

Sue has tested 100%. positive for Neisseria Meningitidis. 300ml of antigen was found in Sue's test results meaning that it was certain she tested positive. The symptoms of Neisseria Meningitidis would also explain Sue's symptoms, the fever and extreme fatigue.

Sue's treatment plan should consist of a week on antibiotics. She should also be put on bed rest to cure the extreme fatigue feeling and give the energy drinks a rest. After the first week Sue should take a trip to the doctor to check on her condition. While she is there, she should also get a vaccination for Neisseria Meningitidis and see if there is any more medication that needs to be administered.

Jill

This test is an ELISA test, the ELISA test indicates if you test positive for a disease or not. It compares your bacteria to the bacteria in the disease. A blue result indicates a positive result for the disease.

Based on the results, my patient tested positive for Neisseria Meningiditis. Both her and Sue's results came back blue which is the indicator for a positive result.

To prevent serious neurologic morbidity and death, prompt institution of antibiotic therapy is essential when the diagnosis of bacterial meningitis is suspected, including ciprofloxacin and ceftriaxone. Surgical interventions may be necessary for the management of complications.. Treatment with penicillin or ampicillin requires susceptibility testing.

L'Rae W.
