Chinese New Year started many thousands of years ago. There are 12 Zodiac animals. This years animal is the pig. I was born in 2008 which is the year of the rat. The evening of the Spring Festival Eve, many people set off fireworks and firecrackers, hoping to cast away any bad luck and bring forth good luck. Children often receive “luck” money. Many people wear new clothes and send Chinese New Year greetings to each other. The 12 Zodiac animals are the rat, ox, tiger, rabbit, dragon, snake, horse, sheep, monkey, rooster, dog and pig. Red is China's good luck color, believed to scare away spirits of bad fortune. Chinese usually wear red or other brightly colored clothes on New Year's Day, to go with the festive and upbeat mood. Oranges and tangerines. Oranges and tangerines are a symbol of happiness and prosperity in China so you'll find an abundance of these fruits in markets and grocery stores during Chinese New Year.
By Jafita

Next year it is going to be the year of the rat and I was born in the the year of the rat! Last year it was the year of the dog! There are twelve (12) animals to be celebrated, and each year it is a different animal. Chinese New Year lasts for about sixteen (16) days! On New Year eve most people stay home and have dinner with their whole family. This dinner is called ‘reunion dinner’ and is believed to be the most important meal of the year! On Chinese New Year there is always a big parade. There are people dancing a dance called the dragon Dance or sometimes they dance the lion dance. Children are given little red envelopes that contain money inside. These envelopes are given by parents, grandparents and other family members as a symbol for good luck! The color red is associated with energy, happiness and good luck!

Thanks for your time!

The end!🐖🐉🛍

D’éalaigh ainmhithe eile ón zú i mBéal Feirste! Dé Sathairn d’éalaigh dhá shimpeansaí ón zú i mBéal Feirste. Bhí iontas an domhain ar chuairteoirí sa zú nuair a chonaic siad na simpeansaithe taobh amuigh den bhalla.
Rinne na simpeansaithe dréimire as géaga crainn. Bhí géaga na gcrann lag mar go raibh an aimsir an-ghaofar le déanaí. Ansin dhreap siad thar an mballa.
Bhí na coimeádaithe zú in aice leo agus bhí na simpeansaithe ar ais taobh istigh den bhalla go luath. Cúpla seachtain ó shin d’éalaigh panda rua ón zú céanna. Bhí an panda imithe thar oíche agus bhí sé taobh amuigh den zú nuair a rug siad air.

Other animals escaped from the zoo in Belfast! On Saturday, two zoo champions escaped in Belfast. Visitors in the zoo were surprised by the world when they saw the simpsons outside the wall.
The limbs made ladder out of the limbs of trees. The limbs of the trees were weak because the weather was very severe. Then they climbed over the wall.
The keepers had a zoo adjacent to them and the symbols were back inside the wall soon. A few weeks ago a red panda escaped from the same zoo. The panda had gone overnight and was outside the zoo when they grabbed it.
Your avatar

by Maeve
