We just had enough people that day to play a game, we had 9 players for both games and it was a really hot day so we got tired quick. We were getting sore, drenched ourselves with water, and before that was just sweat. It was not a good sight to see. But the other team apparently had plenty of pitchers to rotate out. We ended up being home team the second game and one of our guys had to leave and we got one of our guys to come for the second game to pitch as much as he could. When the game started, we were visitors and got the head lead with 4 runs in the first inning. But, he did recommend me and Sam to switch positions because I was a little bit more quick on my feet in the outfield, so he put me in left field, the sun was worse there but I managed and they were hitting there more the second half of the game. They ended up getting bases loaded because they were just able to hit the ball to just get simple singles. We luckily got a strike out. But then, one lucky guy decides to hit the ball out to left field where I am dying and I give it my all and it was low and I dove for it. I caught the ball! But when I caught the ball in the field and threw in to home plate, it was like taking the ACT with only 5 minutes left when you know you need more time to finish. But when they got him out at home, everyone was cheering and and my friend Sam came charging at my hugging me and we were all cheering and it was a fantastic moment in my baseball career.
