         <description><![CDATA[<div>Hispanic Heritage Month takes place on Friday, September 15 through Sunday, October 15. From 1968 to 1988, Hispanic Heritage Month was actually only a week long. Ronald Reagan changed it from a week to a month on August 17, 1988. September 15 is the anniversary of independence for Latin American countries, Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, and Nicaragua.</div>]]></description>
