By the end of each period the kids all know that I love Abraham Lincoln, the Chicago Cubs, and running. Kids will come up throughout the year and talk to me about all of those things. I start the period with 10 minutes of reading and then we will talk about the books we love. They make a list of books I need to read and I read them and we discuss them.
