I am currently also thinking about how to leverage instructional technology to provide students and teachers with what they need. This may include modeling routines in math that supports student inclusitivity, promotes positive classroom culture and helps reduce student anxiety!

I feel that I am WAY more confident about how I am integrating equity discussions into my work stream. I am more cognicient of the voices of PL participants and messages that I give when talking about teaching and learning in PLs. In addition because our office has clearly defined this as a pressing and valuable component of our work - I feel much more confident in brining in elements of equity without being questioned as to its relavence.

One of the goals of the program is to define ways we can bring technology to students who don't have access in their homes. We also are working to address the imbalance of knowledge of students coming into our schools.

Through working with our Affinity Team, I hope to share best practices on what is possible by using technology. Padlet is an example of a tool that can help different learning styles by providing multiple ways to view information.

In my CRT and Math session in August, I discussed with teachers the model of the levels of culture (with a tree as a framework) and had them think about the hidden norms and ways of being that impact their classroom. What do we need to think about to help shift culture to be more equitable? It was a difficult question for some teachers to answer.
