In Italy, projects were carried out where parents at a low cultural partner level helped prostitutes and other children in the afternoon recreational activities to combat school dispersal. the pupil has to be through the school and the parents and bring her experiences at home so that she can also entice her parents. I believe that school alone is not able to solve some problems that are transversal to many areas, like in my school the problems of the integration of the gipsy comunity. To promote a really sucessful and qualified pedagogical work of the gipsy community, would you agree with the creation of neiborhood schools (type of an ambulant schooll) to reach the gipsy girls that traditionaly leave school at a very early age?

In a society of communication, why is it that neither parents nor children actually communicate with each other? To communicate there has to be a healthy relationship and parents are often too absorbed by their jobs and don't dedicate enough time nor space to their children, to being a parent. Are we engaging them in a sense of helping them to be parents, to manage these relationships? Or is school already substituting parents in (too) many ways?

It is obvious that many Romanian parents are open to Roma children only in words...when comes to facts-i do not want my child to sit next to him- My question is the following: HOW CAN I STAND AS A TEACHER FOR A ROMA CHILD WHEN HIS OWN MOTHER SENDS HIM TO SCHOOL WITH DIRTY HANDS OR CLOTHES? Basicaly, this is the single thing i always ask them to take care of, the most important issue when dealing with prejudice or Roma minorities.

Unfortunatly I was not able to attend the webinar as I was involved in a study tour with my students in Spain.

Time is what parents, allegedly don't have. They are always too busy. Either they don't care, or they are too insecure and afraid of the challenge, of not being up to it or they work far, as is the case of the town where I live. It happens that when there is a show they like to participate passively. Most of the times they don't even bring their hands together. Too passive, are they.
