Output no.1 Who Am I To The World? (As a Student)

For introduction, I am Jessica Pia E. Gallera, a student taking up the course Bachelor of Science in Hospitality Management at CTU-TC. I'm the type of student who seeks academic validation, but I also tell myself that even if I fail to have it, I should be aware that I should do better next time. I accept defeat since for past years I've disappointed myself in how I act at school, but I'm not a truant type student. I do love being in school, especially having those instructors that have a vibe that teach lessons not just by the book but also giving students advice that can push them and inspire them to reach their particular goal in life. I'm trying to be good at school, challenging myself every day to engage with others and learn from them as well. I am the eldest of my siblings, and being the first born really gives me a feeling of pressure. I don't want to disappoint my family, as I did to myself for the past few years. That's why I'm trying hard to fix myself, discover my passion, and discover my reasons in life. I want to help my family as soon as I can, but for now, I think being good in school is what I can give them, letting them see that I am eager to finish school and have a job, then helping them to support my younger siblings in their education. Being at school can help me determine what I really want to pursue in life, practicing how to adapt changes in every way because that's how life works. I know that it's a long way for me to fight the challenges that may come and by that experience I could build courage to face the world, for what they said the real battle and more challenges is after you finished school and be that human who work to live.

As individuals in society, each one of us has a big role to play. Living in a society where you will be able to grow and understand the cycle of life means that change is the only constant in life. I picked these word it's because it something that I want to relate. Through globalization, we can see that somehow we can make improvements in our country; the growth of the nation is because of its people. As we can see in our environment, infrastructure is being built, and we can also offer trading to other countries. The Philippines' major exports are electronic products, and it is also the world's largest producer of coconut, pineapple, and abaca. In that way, the Philippines will be known globally, especially its people, because of how we exchange interactions with them, how we give service, and how we show how we're committed to our work. Modernity changed aspects of improvement; the openness of each individual made us unite, understand the flaws, and make some adjustments and adapt on it.

The second-largest island in the Philippines, Mindanao, is where the majority of the country's pineapples are grown.

Based on my research Japan serves as the biggest export market for the Philippines, importing roughly 65% of fresh pineapple shipment from the Philippines. South Korea, China, Taiwan, New Zealand, and the Middle East are some other major importers. The remaining pineapples are processed into fruit cocktails, jams, jellies, dried pineapples, juice, and other products. The United States is their main market.

MANGO (specifically Carabao Mango)

There are three popular Mango varieties in the Philippines: Carabao Mango, Pico, and katchamita ( also called Indian Mango).

Roman Catholicism is my religion.

A little background on my baptized religion.

Roman Catholicism is a Christian religion that is centered around the teachings and traditions of the Catholic Church. It is one of the oldest and largest religious institutions in the world, with over 1.3 billion members worldwide. According to Catholic tradition, the Catholic Church was founded by Jesus Christ during his earthly ministry in 30 A.D.

The Roman Catholic Church traces its origins to the teachings of Jesus Christ and the apostles, and its doctrine is based on the Bible and the sacred traditions of the Church. Catholics believe in the Holy Trinity (the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit) and the divinity of Jesus Christ, as well as the importance of the sacraments and the authority of the Church hierarchy. The Catholic Church is led by the Pope, who is considered the Bishop of Rome and the spiritual leader of the Catholic Church. The Pope is assisted by bishops, priests, and other religious leaders, and the Church is organized into dioceses, parishes, and other administrative units.

I was baptized as a Roman Catholic. My parents are married at a Catholic church. This religion taught me morals and principles that I am applying to my daily life. Catholicism places a strong emphasis on the importance of community and the role of the church in providing spiritual guidance and support for its people. Catholics participate in regular worship services, receive the sacraments, and may also take part in various ministries and service projects within their local parish.

We are taught based on the holy book (the Christian Bible) and the words of God as we relate the story and realize things on our own. Our beliefs include the nature of God, the role of Mary and the saints, and the importance of prayer, confession, and good works. Being a Roman Catholic member can provide a sense of community, spiritual fulfillment, and a framework for living one's life in accordance with the teachings of Jesus Christ. However, like any religion, individual experiences may vary, and it's important to respect the diversity of beliefs and practices within the Catholic Church.

The PK Movie Reflection

The movie Pk is an Indian science-fiction and entertainment film. The movie centers around an alien who lands on Earth and learns about human customs and beliefs, particularly those related to religion, and that is his mission. The story began when he discovered the earth when a random theft stole the remote or his important belongings that could get him home. PK "Tipsy" discovers many things while staying on Earth. The movie uses humor to make its point and to highlight the absurdity of some of the beliefs and practices associated with religion. The character of PK is particularly effective in this regard, as he approaches the topic of religion with childlike curiosity and innocence, which allows him to ask questions that others might be afraid to ask.

The content of the movie somehow relates to how people easily trust the God-man when it comes to mentioning God. But the movie tells itself that it's not about your religion, your fashion, or your nationality; it's not that you are born with a mark or label that identifies who you are.
Just like PK, we are confused. We are confused about what we are going to trust and who we are going to trust. But our gut will tell us where we're going to trust. There's a scene whe he bursting into tears because of his confusion. He only asks for one thing: to help him find his important belonging, which is the remote that could get him home. He did everything he could to find his remote so that he could get home. Throughout his journey, it led to many questions in his mind. Who is God? Where is God? Why are there so many gods? They say that there's only one God, but no, there are two Gods: the one who created us and the one you created, just like the God-man. The wrong number is the one whom God-man created, and the correct number is the God who created us. This line of the movie makes me realize that religion is part of our lives, where we are baptized and also given identification. It doesn't measure who you are. Your action depends on yourself, as you have taught yourself what is right and wrong.

Let me rewind the scene where the Indian girl and Pakistani boy fall in love with each other and Mr. Tapaswi (God-man) predicts the future that the boy will hurt the girl by liaising and not marrying her, but that's not the case; they just misunderstood the situation because of the letter that doesn't have a label, which is who the letter is from. Tipsy learned many things on earth when he started to meet the Indian girl. I was amazed at Pk, or should I say tipsy, because of what he contributed to the relationship between the Indian girl and the Pakistani boy. We are aware that PK is an alien, and he mentioned that they don't know how to lie; they always tell the truth. However, as the situation changed, he learned one of the negative characteristics of humans, which is to lie. He lied for the sake of the girl's relationship with her love one. It's not like I'm amazed because he lied, but because he knows how the couple loves each other. He just lied because he didn't want to ruin the couple's relationship. It makes me realize that if you really love the person, you are brave enough to let go. If letting go makes her life better, it's worth the pain.

Every scene is powerful because it highlights the universal human values of empathy, compassion, and kindness. It also critiques the way in which religion can sometimes be used to create divisions and prevent people from connecting with one another. Overall, the movie reflects on the importance of treating others with respect and dignity, regardless of their background or circumstances.
