social media as radical of an invention as we perceive it to be it rules over our life in some way or the other wherein , we live in our own make believe realities , that seem too perfect to believe rather on the contrary appears to be hollow. This comes in line to play a pivotal role towards the creation of fake ideologies to the idea of body images.
Looking at the influencers ,celebrities and the glitz and glam we perceive their lives to be perfect and aim to be the "have it alls"
An attitude of self loathing is something that is as common as mechanism to breathe in today's time where we try to "fit in" by fit in there also comes in a literal meaning attached to the aspect to fit in looking at the well entrenched successful and appearing to be perfect life of have body like that, and act hard on ourselves not realising how our body loves us back by giving us the ability to do our daily life and the only thing that forever sticks by our side.
living a life through the lens of a measuring tape is where Bulimia Nervosa comes into attention.
Living life with a calorie measuring mindset takes away our vision of looking at food in the simplest form as it may appear to be able to aid our bodies to work.
An ideal image of 36-28-36 is the ideology attached to how a woman should be in our heads from our very formative years we look at our toys tv shows etc, being within a certain size criteria therefore that has also created a negative image to look down upon our bodies as real and human.
Bulimia Nervosa or Bulimia is a life threatening disease that begins when we look at our bodies to be a perfect bodily proportions as we happened to have seen throughout our lives, people with bulimia are unable to curb their food cravings and are on a constant struggle to look perfect but can't stop the cravings that come along, they secretly binge on large amounts of food not realising when to stop and eat until they reach a point of discomfort and then purge it out to avoid extra calories other unhealthy ways attached to bulimia to keep one away from consuming extra calories are laxatives, diuretics, fasting, weight loss supplements.
They are always preoccupied with their weight and seem as if their life is ruled by the weighing scale. Self judgement, self perceived flaws, it's more about self image than food.
