Should children watch violent films?

No, I'm not in favor of the idea that children should be exposed to violent films. One core reason is that children, especially toddlers, may imitate the violent acts shown on films. Take, action genre, for example. These films often consist of bloody and killing scenes, which may frighten or even tempt children to follow those actions. Another rationale is that violent films do not bring about any educational values, which children at the early age need for their overall well-being. In short, I believe that parents and responsible adults should prohibit children from exposing to violent films too early.

In my opinion, it is not a good idea for children to watch violent movies. At a young age, they do not really understand everything, so watching fighting or killing scenes can scare or confuse them. Some children may try to copy what they see, and that can be dangerous.
